Winchester Model 1883 Hotchkiss Saddle Ring Carbine 1st Model in .45-70. SN #16067. Mfg. in 1883. ANTIQUE. Bolt Action. LOP 13". 24" round barrel with an excellent bright bore with clear rifling. Both the blued metal and Walnut stock have been nicely refinished. The stock had a slight crack that was professionally repaired. Tubular buttstock magazine similar to a Spencer Rifle. Magazine Cutoff knob on right side of stock. Steel buttplate. Issued to both the U.S. Army and Navy. Eventually replaced by the Springfield Model 1873. Total of 85,000 made. IMPORTANT: Shoot Light Loads Only. Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz. Trigger Pull: 9 lbs. This is an ANTIQUE and does not require an FFL to purchase. Ships to Lower 48 W/ Insurance $50.00.
