Introduced in 1905 by Berlin gunmaker Otto Bock, the 9.3x62mm Mauser was designed as an affordable, effective "all-around" cartridge for German settlers in Africa using standard Mauser 98 bolt-action rifles. It gained massive popularity for its ability to handle thick-skinned dangerous game, such as lions and buffalo, with moderate recoil. 

This rifle is a classic winchester pre 64 action (1951) in 9.3x62 is widely considered the "all-around" standard for African game, particularly among local farmers and professional hunters. It is in excellent condtion and ready to go for your next hunt in the America's or Africa!

It is highly regarded for its deep penetration, moderate recoil, and reliability in bushveld conditions, often considered the minimum standard for dangerous game.
