Description:
#4752 Winchester 1886 OBFMCB 40/65WCF with the standard 26” barrel having an exceptionally fine bore…at least an 8+ and will likely clean easily to a “9” and also having a fine action. Serial range 108XXX (1896), standard trigger, standard sporting buckhorn rear sight and pinched blade front. The exterior is a fine smooth, crisp edged semi-bright metal, no pitting or deficits and fine markings. Fine wood with the exception of two well worn in and almost unnoticeable forearm slivers. It might be mentioned that the 40/65 cartridge is considered to be a GREAT shooters cartridge for mid-range shooting accuracy because it is a LOT more comfortable to shoot the 40/65 than shooting its big brother, the 40/82 …because it has ballistics almost as good as the more powerful body pounding, shoulder bashing, tooth fillings rattling, 82-grain load. This is a really decent looking mid-1890s Winchester rifle. VG++ as described. $2595
