#4824 Winchester 1894 rifle, OBFMCB 30WCF, with a VG+ bore

Description:
#4824 Winchester 1894 rifle, OBFMCB 30WCF, with a VG+ bore (about a 7+ on a scale of 10), 51XXX serial range (1896), smooth tight solid action. The exterior retains 99% coverage of a 95% density total refinish blue on the frame, barrel and magazine and all metal parts (…which is incorrect, as the lever, hammer, and buttplate should have been case colored. There is some minor “rounding” to the barrel edges due to a somewhat over-zealous buffing during the refinishing, but basically it has fine metal. Fine markings, and fitted with the correct rear tang flip-up peep-sight as well as the scarce three leaf Express rear barrel sight, and Rocky Mountain open blade front. Excellent wood with absolutely no mentionable deficits. Overall, just a nice and VERY handsome antique 122 year old Winchester in a VERY desirable caliber that is being available almost anywhere that ammunition is sold. Excellent, as refinished. $1465
