Description: #4910 Winchester 1873-SRC (Saddle Ring Carbine), 3rd Variation, 87XXX(1882 mfgr), 44WCF with VG bore (for one of these hard-used carbines, about a “6” on a scale of 10) and smooth tight action. Carbine sights with the elevated ladder rear barrel sight being the scarce reversed ladder style, original dust cover. Overall a grey-brown patina with some minor crustiness build up, most being between the barrel and magazine but does not appear to be heavily pitted anywhere, and should clean better, if desired. Very decent wood, just some usual gouges and dents from 135+ years of use and a strong barrel address. It is getting very difficult to find almost ANY ‘73 Winchester carbine in any usable condition these days and this one is a decent original specimen. VG $2450 SOLD Antique: Yes |
