#4926 Winchester 1892 OBFMCB 44WCF Sporting Rifle, 9XXX serial range (1893, I think,) and having a 6-7 bore on a scale of 10 and smooth slick action. VG wood with just minor chips on the upper tang area and the buttplate has been reblued. The wood is also slightly “proud” in spots, so could be original replacement wood. Also, the lever does appear to have been straightened and should be heated and reshaped to look totally correct , but it is fully functionable as it is. The remainder of the gun has an even plum brown patina with good markings and good edges. Octagon ‘92s are getting VERY hard to find and ones THIS early are REALLY hard to find!
