Antique Winchester 1894 in 30WCF Mfg in 1897

Description:
I have a Winchester model 1894 chambered in 30 WCF that was manufactured in 1897. It is a standard Winchester carbine with saddle ring. The Winchester is in 100% original condition except the rear sight and it has definitely seen some use.  The upper tang has a crack right behind the hammer, but still functions as it should. As you can tell by the pictures, there are notches on the top and bottom of the butt stock. May be worth doing research through the Cody firearms, museum. This old Winchester may have gone somewhere that could explain the action it has seen. The boar is dark, but still has some visible rifling. Everything functions properly as it should and is a great antique Winchester to have.
