24 inch octagon barrel with a full length magazine. Sights include a Lyman No. 5B combination globe with Ivory bead front, a No. 21 sporting rear and a Lyman No. 2 combination sight on the tang. Plain walnut forearm with matching straight grip stock finished off with a crescent rifle butt plate. Condition rates about very good overall with the barrel showing about 80% finish. The bore is near good having rough uneven surfaces with defined rifling. The magazine tube hasbeen cleaned leaving no finish, now appearing a dull gray patina. The receiver appears to have been cleaned and lightly polished leaving a small patch of light pitting on the right side below the hammer and has a thinning touched up cold blue overall with traces of original finish in protected areas. The stocks are solid and full fitting showing normal wear and handling marks. Manufactured 1896.
