ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 SPECIAL ORDER RIFLE IN 38 WCF
Description: Special order features include 28 inch octagon barrel with full length magazine, double set triggers and extra figure select grade walnut stocks fitted with a crescent rifle buttplate. Upgraded sights include Lyman combination front, a filler in the rear dovetail and a Lyman combination peep sight on the tang. Very good condition overall with metal surfaces showing a light cleaning touched up with cold blue over areas of residual pitting now appearing a range of original deep blue in protected areas to thinning shades of brown. Bore is about good showing uneven surfaces with well defined rifling. Stocks have been been lightly cleaned leaving buttstock fit about flush and showing typical wear and handling marks. The forearm fit Is a bit shy and has missing splinter on left side and chip at right side on the top edges at the front. Manufactured in 1895.
