Only about 20,000 of these basically deluxe Model 1894 Winchesters termed the Model 55 with standard special features such as half mag, take down, shot gun steel butt and high base front sight. Caliber 32 Win Spl. this example is the best one on the web. Retains 95% original factory blue on receiver with hint of toning but has been tapped for a receiver sight, something Winchester did not do at the factory until around 1952. Tap holes now have filler screws but will accept any standard receiver sight such as Redfield, Williams or Lyman( I have filled the broken screw since photo was taken and both are now correc) . All the mint blue on barrel and tube. Brilliant loading gate along with superb walnut stocks with nary a dent. Made in 1927, fourth year of production. Mint bore and action as well. 24" round barrel.
