About Us: I have been collecting firearms for over 40 years. My interests are Winchester rifles in models 1892 and 1894 especially with shorter than standard barrels. I have also written four books on Newton rifles and have interest in all models of those rifles.

Description:
This item is a Winchester 1873 saddle ring carbine in caliber 44-40 marked on the top of the barrel and 44 Cal marked on the cartridge lifter with a standard round 20 inch barrel. It is a 3rd Model #504269B made in 1896. The bore is fair+ with some shine to it, good rifling and a few scattered pits. The stock has scattered scratches and some small dents. The forearm is the same and has a crack on the front bottom back to the barrel band. The stock and forearm fit the metal well. The receiver is a gray patina and the barrel and magazine are the same but slightly darker. The screws are very good and the action smooth. This carbine has honest wear but is not beat up. I prefer to ship USPS, will ship UPS if requested and WILL NOT ship Fed Ex. Buyer pays actual shipping charges.
