About Us: I have been collecting firearms for over 40 years. My interests are Winchester rifles in models 1892 and 1894 especially with shorter than standard barrels. I have also written four books on Newton rifles and have interest in all models of those rifles.

Description:
This is a Winchester Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine #117026 with a 15 inch barrel, half magazine in caliber 44-40 shipped in 1883. The metal is a brown patina. The stock and forearm have the normal handling marks you might expect with a carbine of this age. A cross formed from brass tack has been added to the stock and a letter “R” is visible just in front of the cross. An aged piece of rawhide has been attached to the saddle ring and I have l left that in place as well. The action works well and there is a trapdoor in the butt. This is no an antique so no FFL is needed or clearance as a short barreled firearm. The buyer pays shipping and insurance
