The serial number of this example is 3276 placing date of manufacture in 1878. Overall condition is very good with most of the Bluing toned to a very nice even patina. The bore is near perfect with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate a 9.5 on a 1 to 10 scale, very well cared for. The receiver is silvered and patina with faded case colors in protected areas. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with no damage observed.
