Description: This is a very difficult rifle to find now - it is an early Winchester Model 1892, saddle ring carbine, 44 WCF - that is in the antique range - Cody verified. This is a fine looking carbine, that is mechanically excellent - it feeds, fires and ejects as it should. The bore of the 20" barrel is good to very good - it has some shine, with strong lands and grooves the whole way, it has slight wear and minor scattered erosion marks - overall about a 7.5. The rifle shows some use, scattered marks and wear but overall has a very nice look, the wood is excellent, no cracks, no missing chips at the wrist, unsanded and nice. I believe the metal finish is likely an older high quality, professional restoration - I don't think it would have survived this nice otherwise. It has nice case colors on the hammer and lever, nice fire blue on the extractor and loading gate, good screws, nice receiver edges. A great little Winchester carbine , priced much lower than similar guns - **** This is an " Antique" by ATF standards and can ship directly to the buyer in MOST states - there are some exceptions - I also require that the buyer can Legally Own a firearm, and provide state D.L. Check or certified funds preferred. Shipping includes insurance. ***** Thank you
