Winchester Early 3rd Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine
Description: Very Honest and Original Winchester Model 1866 Serial # 35xxx (1870 Production ). Brass shows a Nice Patina and has not been polished or cleaned up. Barrel and Magazine Tube retain 85-90% Original Blue. Shows some wear from being carried. Wood is Original and shows numerous handling marks with a crack in the tip of the forend ( pictured ). Only other negatives are the end of the magazine tube has had a screw driver put to it (pictured) and small dings on the carrier block (pictured). Bore is Excellent, Bright with no pitting and Very Strong Lands and Grooves. A Great Original Gun for the advanced Collector. Caliber, 44 Rim. Moderately Priced for a 150 Year Old gun.
