This is a decent 73 44-40 Third Model rifle with a near very good bore. It has nice rifling and only a small amount of normal corrosion. The serial number is 121024 A, and was made in 1883. It retains 40% blue on the barrel and 40% blue on the receiver. The action is nice and tight and the dust cover is not loose. The wood is original and not abused and sanded or chipped and cracked. This is a nice solid cowboy rifle shooter.
