WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 DELUXE RIFLE IN 38 WCF

Description:
Very scarce 24 inch half octagon matted barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a fairly bright shiny bore and sharp rifling. Barrel and mag tube are mostly a gray color. Blade front and no rear dovetail for a sight. Has a folding long range tang sight missing the slider. Receiver is a silvery gray with traces of case color in protected areas. Nice functioning action. Checkered walnut stock with pistol grip is in good condition with just a few light handling mars. Rifle style buttplate. Comes with Factory Letter that lists Checkered Stock with Pistol Grip and Matted Barrel as well as No Slot For Rear Sight. I have only seen a few of these matted barrels on an 1873 rifle and even fewer that are half octagon! Made in 1887.
