Description:
***SOLD*** Excellent, unmolested and very well preserved example of a rare Winchester 1886 in the highly coveted 50 Express caliber!
S/N 60094 made in 1891, qualifying as an antique.
26" half round, half octagon barrel. Steel shotgun style buttplate with widow's peak heel.
Outstanding original blue remains on the barrel and full length magazine tube, as well as on the brilliant bolt.
The case colored receiver has faded but retains some remnants on the sides, being slightly stronger on the hammer.
The wood has never been sanded or repaired, with some of the original finish remaining, the balance showing darker with a protective coat of oil.
Original sights consist of a beaded front and the rare Winchester express sight in the rear, with its 3 folding and platinum lined leaves.
