Original Winchester Model 62. 22 short 5 Spot Gallery gun.The stock has the 5 Spot logo branded/burned on the left side of the stock as a form of advertising. The 5 Spot was a series of shooting galleries that started operations in 1935 in Michigan and various places in the United States. They were called the 5 Spot Short Range Gun Clubs Of America. These were licensed shooting galleries. This Winchester has matching serial numbers of 37350 dates this rifle pre-war 1936 . The action works correctly and is smooth and fast. The safety is functional on half cock as it should be.The magazine tube features a unique triangular shaped loading port which was designed to accommodate the pre-loaded ammo tubes for faster reloading. The bore is nice and shows good rifling, no sign of corrosion or pitting. The stock and pump handle are in nice condition with no major chips or cracks. You will not find another listed at this price.The total quantity of these "5 Spot" models is not known. This rifle is considered scarce and highly collectable. A great addfition for ones collection.
