For sale is an early octagon top Winchester 1885 in .38-55 caliber. The 28" #2 replacement octagon barrel is pristine inside and out. The bore is shiney with strong rifling. The receiver is case colored with 70% of the original finsh. There is less case color finish on the lever and the rear of the lower tang. The forearm shows some small dings with one noticable dent on the top right side near the receiver. The buttstock has various minor dings with a small chip missing on the left wrist at the receiver. The hammer stays at full cock when levered. Half cock also functions as designed. Ensure it is lawful to ship this antique firearm directly to you. Shipping is via USPS insured and tracked for $75. Shipping to Alaska requires additional charges. No sales to Hawaii and any other location where the firearm is prohibited.
