Winchester Model 1885 Winder Musket in 22 Short.
Description: This is a late Winchester High Wall rifle musket with a 28 inch barrel in 22 short caliber. The wood is sound and in very good condition with only a small splinter missing on the right side of the tang just behind the frame. Someone in the past has removed all finish from the metal. I am beginning to believe we do need to take guns from some people. The rear trigger tang screw has been replaced. This gun has a tangent sight that is graduated to 2000 yards. Very optomistic give the caliber. The hammer goes to half cock when the breech is closed. There are a few drops of paint on the top of the wrist that go with the gun.
