Winchester Model 70 XTR Featherweight in caliber 270 Win produced in the early 1980s in New Haven, CT after the U. S. Repeating Arms takeover. Rifle has the XTR grade "Ram's Curl" stock, red rubber Winchester butt pad with U. S. Repeating Arms encircling the Winchester name, 22" featherweight barrel without sights, Nikon 3-9x40 BDC scope installed, blued finish. CONDITION: Barrel, floor plate and trigger guard exhibit 99% original bright blue (camera flash washes it out and is better in natural light than in the pictures). Action is tight and crisp. Safety and floor plate release both work as designed. Stock is excellent with typical light scratches from use. Ram's Curl checkering is still quite sharp. Original swivel studs also intact. Bore is excellent. Grades NRA Modern Excellent. Anything in Winchester made in the New Haven plant has become collectors prizes, so don't miss out on this piece of American gun-making history! NOTE: I will sell without the scope and rings if desired. Deduct $200 from price if you don't want this scope and rings. TERMS: No international sales.
