This offers for sale a Winchester Model 52 Pre-A Sporting Rifle in, virtually, all original factory condition, complete with it’s original factory sling swivels. The rifle’s serial number 36xxx reveals that the subject Model 52 Sporting Rifle was made in 1936. The action remains all original, un-drilled and tapped for scope mount attachment, a highly unusual characteristic for the model, over eighty five years after it departed from the Winchester factory. The metal and stock, both, remain at approximately 98 percent. There are a few minor scratches or indentations in the stock, which seller has attempted to display in the photos. The only imperfections to the metal work are four tiny nicks to the rear of the action, evidence of someone, careless, replacing the bolt in the action.
