Winchester Model 54 High Power Sporter, Cal. .270 Win., 1926 Vintage

Description:
The Winchester Model 54 was made from 1925 to 1936, with approximately 50,145 manufactured in several variations.  This 1926 vintage Model 54 High Power Sporter variation is fitted with a 24 inch tapered barrel, Lyman folding leaf rear sight, brass bead Marble Sheard front sight, checkered walnut pistol grip stock fitted with a 7/8 inch Winchester recoil pad & sling swivels, is blue finished, and chambered in .270 Winchester.  The rifle is also fitted with a Weaver 4x Scope, with cross-hair recticle, and Weaver scope mounts.  The rifle is in fine condition, retaining 70% blue on the barrel and receiver, the bolt approximately 40%, and the floor plate/trigger guard approximately 50%.  The stock has a repair from a previous receiver sight installation.  It has been lightly sanded and refinished, retaining most of the refinsih, with assorted handling marks.  The bore is bright with sharp rifling and the action functions well.
