For sale is a Winchester Model 94 AE lever-action rifle, chambered in the classic pistol cartridge .45 Colt. This rifle is in excellent used condition and features the tang safety (post-1990 production). Serial Number: 6559525 – estimated to be approximately 1996 production. This is from the New Haven, Connecticut era of Winchester manufacturing.
The Model 94 is the world's most popular lever-action rifle – perfect for hunting in thick brush for deer, bear, wild hogs, and other fast-moving game. This example features a walnut stock with a satin finish and classic straight-grip styling, a classic carbine-style forearm, and a black rubber Decelerator buttpad. The 20-inch barrel is triple-checked and button-rifled. A Lyman rear sight is mounted to the receiver (the mid-sight has been removed). The front bead sight is retained. The hammer is drilled and tapped for a knurled hammer spur extension (not included). The rifle features a steel loading gate, an articulated cartridge stop, and is drilled and tapped for optional scope mounts.
