Description: 1894 OCTAGON RIFLE IN SCARCE .32-40 CALIBER, #103XXX. A nice nearly 1894 that shows good thinning barrel and mag blue. Exc. markings. the receiver has some good blue in the more protected areas on the right side and loading gate with the left side showing a bit more blue and the balance turning gray. Exc. screw heads. Generally good butt stock with some handling/hunting dings, but solid. Fine forend and both with tight wood to metal fit. Tight action with solid safety half-cock on the hammer. Buckhorn rear sight needs elevator bar only and Lyman small blade/bead front sight. Very decent bore that is a bit dark with good rifling throughout and some light scattered surface roughness that may clean out better. In all, a good '94 in a scarce caliber.
