Special Order 32 Spl Shotgun Butt Winchester Model 94 SRC Built 1920
Description:
Serial #913338, .32 Winchester Special, 20 inch nickel steel barrel with a near excellent, bright bore with strong rifling and only one tiny pit about 4 inches from the muzzle. This is a Winchester model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine with the special order feature of a shotgun butt manufactured in 1920. The barrel and magazine tube retain about 75-80% of the original blue finish toning to gray with the typical use marks and the receiver is almost entirely in devoid of original finish, common with these 20's vintage guns. The walnut stock and forearm are solid with a small chip missing along the upper left tang along with some scattered contusions and scratches with much of a later added varnish is still present and the original hard rubber Winchester butt plate rates about excellent. It is sighted with a Lyman Ivory bead front and combination flip up tang peep sight with a dovetail blank in the rear sight position. The saddle ring stud is present but not the ring. The action is smooth with hammer holding properly and half and full cock with a crisp trigger pull. A very nice 1920's vintage SRC. FFL or C&R
