Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are super proud to offer this deluxe version of Winchester's model 1892. This was the second of John Browning's lever action designs to be produced by Winchester, replacing the aging model 1873. Chambered in 25-20, this is one special rifle. Pistol grip versions are rarely seen in the 1892, and the added features of a half length magazine and half octagon, half round barrel really make this gun stand out. Made in the year of our Lord 1908, she is in pretty good condition for being 117 years old. The original blue has drifted to patina, but is fairly even, and strong. The nicely figured and checkered walnut is in good shape, with some light handling marks. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore of the 24 inch barrel has plenty of shine and strong rifling. Remember, Winchester began to discourage special orders after 1900, which makes this type of gun all the more scarce. These svelte rifles have a great following, and she is a pleasure to carry and aim. If you have been looking for the right '92 to collect, for investment, or a classic hunt, but want the added clout of a multi feature deluxe, then look no further.
