Winchester ~ 1886 ~ .33 W.C.F.
Description:
The metal on this rifle is overall in good condition. Areas of the blueing have worn off and bare metal shows through on probably around 1/3rd of the receiver and is gone on the magazine tube retaining ring. The wood of the stock has darkened with its age. There is possible evidence of it having been sanded down and refinished at some point at the wood is not flush/level with some of the metal. As may be expected the stock shows other signs of age with dents and dings. The rifling of the bore is generally in good condition with some caveats. While the lands are still fairly strong, the grooves have darkened in their age.
