Winchester 1892 Built for SASS

Description:
SOLD PENDING FUNDS. This is a Model 1892 rifle, built in 1894, and subsequently cut down to carbine length and rechambered from the original .44-40 to .44 Mag by one of the first SASS shooters. The shortened barrel is what remains of the original octagonal barrel. Receiver has been case colored. The rest of the gun, from buttplate to muzzle, is original. A few of the usual handling scuffes are present in the hundred and six year old wood. There is slight blue wear on one side of the barrel. Bore is very good. Function is excellent. A handy old shooter in a modern caliber. Price includes shipping.
