Description:
Up for sale is a nice Winchester 1894 38-55 Button Magazine. 26" half round half octagon. All original. Crescent butt. Case colors still visible on hammer and lever. Rifle retains a lot of bluing. There are four dots punched into various parts of the rifle. These are ownership marks from a hunting camp in Maine. This would have been a guides gun. Guides were paid when their rifle was returned at the end of the season. There is a letter from Davids Gunsmithing in Gray Maine to support this. I believe this rifle would have been a special order barrel and magazine configuration. Thank you for looking and please email me with any questions or offers.
