This is an extra clean 44-40 that I had partially reblued. It has a bore that looks unfired and the action is tight and crisp as the day it left the factory. It has unusually nice walnut wood that has a a few minor handling marks but was obviously not used much. It also has an ivory bead front sight. Even the pictures do not do it justice. If it were the original finish it would be a 6-7 thousand dollar piece all day long. But it is what it is – so it is affordable as the ultimate ‘cowboy action shooter’ .
