This solid frame Winchester carbine has the desirable long wood forend and retains its front sight hood, all original wood and 99% original factory bluing on the barrel, it has a perfect bore! Manufactured in 1937, serial number 1137374 this example of a pre-war carbine shows some honest and righteous edge wear around the balance point epitomizing a gun that earned its persona while been carried, hunting the woods and prairies of America. This well cared for carbine has excellent wood to metal fit, great screws and a factory Winchester metal butt plate. The rifle’s smooth lever action and a crisp trigger breaking at 5lb with no overtravel adds up to the classic pre-war Winchester experience, this iconic carbine has been used as intended, now it’s ready to continue its adventure.
