Description:
Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle made 1902, cal. .25-20 W.C.F., blued with color case hardened hammer, lever, and buttplate, 24 1/4" full octagonal barrel/mag tube with dovetailed, screw-fixated, blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. Standard two-line address and "25-20 W.C.F." marked on the top barrel flat, the three-line model/trademark/patent date on the upper tang, and the serial number on the bottom of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent metal buttplate.
Condition:
VG+/EXC metal components with the barrel, magazine tube, receiver retaining over 95% of their original blued finish, the case colored components vibrant with only minimal wear and fading. Extractor, loading gate, and trigger with 98+% of their original fire blue. Original finish stocks with scattered handling marks and a few superficial bruises, the left side of the buttstock with a patch of darkened staining and pinprick indentations, well photographed, reflecting old chemical contact or touch-up. Bore and action packed with grease. Correct manual mechanics.
