Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle 25-20 WCF
Description: Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle Serial #915694, in 25-20 WCF has a 24” round barrel Condtion This rifle in 25-20 WCF has a bright very good bore with strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of the barrel and magazine tube retain about 93-95% original blue with scattered handling marks, it has some light oxidation, and loss at the muzzle. The frame has faded to a lightly oxidized gray-brown patina with a few traces of original blue, the bolt, lever, and hammer retain a modest amount of blue finish with operational wear. The straight grip walnut stock and forend rate about very good overall showing light impact marks, light abrasions, a vacant hole on the toeline and the forend fitting ever so slightly loose. There a narrow 2” repair along left edge of forend behind the nosecap. All markings remain crisp, the original iron sights are intact. This rifle action functions well and allows for correct loading. Shooting this rifle I have found that it is very accurate using reloaded 25-20 rounds out to 50 yards. Excellent squirrel or varmint rifle.
