Winchester Model 1894 .30-30 Win 22"bbl Lever Action Rifle 1899mfg
Description: Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester (.30 WCF), dated to 1899. The rifle features the iconic and timeless Browning 1894 lever action design, and has the distinction of the being the worlds most popular sporting rifle to date. This particular rifle is in a custom-order configuration, with a carbine length 22" standard profile barrel, 1/2 length magazine tube, and very nice walnut furniture with a shotgun-style buttplate. The front sight is custom ordered as well, with a Marbles rear sight, likely added on later. The rifle is in great working order with a smooth action and fully operable trigger and hammer assembly, as well as a surprisingly nice bore for it's age, with only very shallow areas of minor pitting, with a shiny surface and good rifling. Much of the original blue finish is still present on the barrel and magazine tube, with some areas of finish wear and patina in other areas, as shown. The wood is in great shape, with only a small but stable hairline crack on the right side grip area, as shown. The buttplate also has a small chip in the toe.
