The gun is in 80% condition with a blued finish and color case hardened lever and trigger. The wood stock and forend are straight grained walnut and show only very minor handling marks. The bore is clean and bright.
Mechanically the gun furctions flawlessly with all original parts.
The 38-55 cartridge is still available and is in the 30-30 range of preformance with heavier bullets. It is an excellent deer and hog gun.
