Description: WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION SHORT RIFLE SPECIAL ORDER in 30-30 Winchester This rifle was manufactured in 1912. This is a special order short rifle and has the proper 8 3/8" short forearm, proper 7/8" front sight set back and 1/8" magazine set back. Left side two line Winchester barrel legend sits 9 1/8" from muzzle to start and 8 3/8" from back to end of legend. Features German silver tip front sight, semi buckhorn rear sight, blue finish, walnut stock with rifle butt plate and matching forearm. CONDITION: The overal condition of this rifle is fine. The receiver has a grey brown patina with some blue on loading gate. The barrel retains 85% blue mixing plum with light high edge wear, handling marks and strong legends. The stocks are excellent and proud to metal which is an indiction that they have not been gone over. They exhibit scattered dings and impressions typically found on rifles of this age. The action is fine and cycles correctly I have not shot this rifle but have cycled rounds from the mag through the action without an issue. The bore is strong but is slgihtly frosted.
