Description:
Up for your consideration is a beautiful example of an early modern Winchester Model 1894 manufactured in 1905. This gun features a 20.5in octagon barrel and is chambered in the rare .38-55 cartridge. Condition is good for this gun's age. As we know a lot of Winchester rifles from this time period have not survived well. This one is in great shape mechanically, but the blue finish is fading in areas and there is slight spots of light surface rust on the receiver and barrel. This gun is equipped with a Lyman style peep sight and the original Winchester ladder sight has been modified to act as a sight block. Wood is great with only some minor nicks, but no cracks or chips. Bore is great with only some light frosting and very light corrosion near the muzzle. This gun also comes with a preliminary letter from the Cody Firearm Museum stating the ship date, and general information on the gun. If you're looking to get into a collectible Winchester rifle, this is a great option!
