Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine in .30 WCF Fine Example 1925
Description: Serial #972522, .30 WCF (.30-30), 20" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1925-made SRC that retains 75-80% of the original blue along the barrel and magazine tube, with some silvering at the muzzle and scattered spots of mild surface freckling throughout. The receiver retains about 50-60% of the original blue, with fading and plum-brown freckling on the balance, and an arc of gray metal at the saddle ring. The hammer and lever retain a commensurate amount of original blue with overall plum-brown freckling, and the original carbine rear sight is mated to a sporting bead type front sight blade. The walnut forend and buttstock are in very good shape with minor handling marks and surface blemishes scattered about the original varnish. The steel buttplate has an overall mottled gray patina with traces of original blue on protected areas. This is a fine example of a desirable ‘94 SRC, and would make a great addition to any collection.
