Winchester Model 1894 Special Order Eastern Carbine 30 WCF
Description: Winchester Model 1894 special order Eastern Carbine (no saddle ring) in caliber 30 WCF aka 30-30 that was factory-fitted with a 2/3 length magazine tube and a shotgun butt with hard rubber butt plate. Butt plate has the early widow's peak top toe. Standard blued finish, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, typical post front sight, carbine rear sight replaced by a short Marble's full buckhorn sight. Serial number 513621 puts manufacture around 1910, making it pre-64/pre-WWI. CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube 80% original blue with some muzzle wear and some blue loss at breech due to some chemical being spilled on it. Front sight intact. Fore end wood is generally sound, never sanded or refinished, retaining about 80% of the original varnish. Butt stock still tight and proud with no extra holes or other issues, also never sanded or refinished. Original logoed hard rubber butt plate fits well. Action is smooth and the half cock safety functions as designed. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Receiver retains 50% original thinning blue but also having as spot where some chemical removed the blue. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling, a 9 of 10. Should make a fine shooter/hunter as well as an investment firearm. TERMS: Shipping to the Continental US States will be a flat $50 with insurance optional and additional if requested.
