Winchester Model 1894 SRC .30 WCF rifle

Description:

For your consideration is a handsome old Winchester Model 1894 SRC 
( Saddle Ring Carbine ) 30-30 WCF
( Winchester Center Fire ) Lever Action Rifle.

The serial number is 894671 and it was made in 1921.  It has a 20" barrel and a full length magazine.

The front sight is a pinned blade wth the rear sight being a graduated folding ladder to adjust for elevation and windage in longer range shooting.

It has a crescent carbine butt and the original saddle ring is present.  Much of the original blueing has turned to a handsome patina.  

The wood ( gumwood ) is decent with the usual nicks and dings for a rifle of this vintage.

On the left-rear of the barrel is stamped:

NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21 1894.

The top-rear of the barrel and the top-front of the receiver are stamped with the Winchester Logo.

The top tang is stamped:

  MODEL 1894
--WINCHESTER--
  TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.
  & FGN.

The action is tight and crisp and the bore is shiny and clean with excellent lands and grooves.  This old Winchester is a good shooter with tight groups at the local shooting range here in Brownsville, Texas.

Also included is a zippered rifle case and 2 boxes of 30-30 ammunition along with two manuals:

1, a WINCHESTER MODEL 94
( 1894 ) HANDBOOK and
2, a DO EVERYTHING MANUAL 
covering the:
WINCHESTER MODEL 94
( 1894 ) LEVER ACTION RIFLE.
