Winchester Model 55 lever action rifle in 32 Winchester Special caliber.
S/N 11447 made in 1929.
24" lightweight tapered barrel. Like most all of this model, this one has the takedown feature.
90-95% strong original bluing over most, showing more wear at the carry point, barrel assembly transition, and buttplate.
The wood has never been sanded, remaining proud with good corners and no visible repairs, but does appear to have had a generally darker finish applied over scattered light handling marks.
The bore looks about mint, bright and shiny with distinct rifling and no oxidation that I can detect. Really nice. Likewise, the mechanics are flawless, smooth, crisp, and proper in all regards.
The sight package consists of a white bead Marble No. 2 front and a Winchester sporting rear with elevator.
A fine looking example of this scarce and great handling little rifle.
