Offering for sale my last model 88 Winchester, this .308 was built in the 3 rd year, 1958, making it 64 years old. Has the cut Checkering , I'd read it was pressed in after 1964. has a 22" barrel , 4 shot clip. Hood still on front sight, I never rigged a scope on it in the maybe 30 years I'd owned it. Bought it long ago in a Pawn shop, beautiful balanced, accurate rifle to take to the timber.why they didn't continue building these I'll never know, 284k total and half were .308 cal. Has normal wear at carrying points but overall in fine shape. No cracks, scratch's or any damage of any sort. I believe it's C&R qualified , would need that or a FFL to ship to. I'm a life long collector , I ship through USPS priority insured with tracking number.
