Winchester Model 94 SRC .30-.30 Rifle

Description:


For your consideration is a handsome old Winchester Model 94 SRC 30-30 Lever Action Rifle. The serial number is 1005532 and it was made in 1927.

It has a 20" barrel and a full length magazine. The saddle ring is present and it has the cresent shaped carbine butt plate. The gumwood forearm and stock are in decent shape with the usual nicks and dings seen on a rifle of this vintage.  Much of the original blueing has given way to a handsome patina.

The front sight is a pinned blade and the rear sight is a graduated folding ladder to adjust for elevation and windage in longer-range shooting.

The left rear of the barrel is stamped:

The top rear of the barrel and the 
top front of the receiver are stamped with the Winchester Logo.

The right rear of the barrel is stamped:

The top tang is stamped:

    MODEL    94
--WINCHESTER--
TRADE MARK REG.U.S.PAT.OFF.& FGN.

The action is tight and crisp and the bore is clean and bright with no pitting and the lands & grooves are excellent.  This gun is a good shooter at the local shooting range here in Brownsville, Texas.
