Winchester Prewar 94 Carbine (1937) 32 Special
Description: Listed is a Prewar Winchester Model 94 Carbine in 32 special caliber with a very clean and bright bore. This Winchester carbine has the molted/flaked bluing look on the receiver as did numerous 1894 receivers manufactured between about serial number range 500,000 and 1,200,000. These receivers have a high nickel content and through time molt the bluing often seen condition called "flaking" leaving the receiver looking a thining blue in large areas. The stocks are solid with no breaks or cracks and fit proud to the receiver and tang areas, a steel serrated buttplate is original to this carbine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 98% bluing and the sights appear correct with the hood missing. This early prewar carbine has been used but exhibits care in handling and storage by it's past owners and has years of service left being 85+ years since manufactured. A quality Winchester 94 carbine waiting to be taken afield, they don't make them like this anymore, sadly. Questions will be answered in the order received, additional photos will be sent on request.
