Winchester Saddle Ring carbine. Mdl. 1894, Cal. .30-30. Ser. 9790XX. Made in 1925.
Description: Inv. 6069 Winchester Saddle Ring carbine. Mdl. 1894, Cal. .30-30. Ser. 9790XX. Made in 1925. The condition is this gun is outstanding. It has seen very little use and was well cared for. The original factory finish is about 90-95%. The barrel, magazine tube and barrel band are about 90% only because the the last 2 1/2" of the barrel appear to have been professionally reblued. The receiver and the butt plate about 90+%. The loss on both is surface thinning as a result of being carried and stored. The walnut butt and forearm are outstanding showing just a few very minor surface dings and retaining 99% of the original factory lacquer. The Marble rear sight is a special order sight with a graduated elevation slide. The bore is sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling. There is not a hint of frosting. The gun was obviously carried a bit and fired very little. They sure made them with super craftsmanship in 1925....$895.
