The rifle's March 1963-dated Springfield Armory barrel was subsequently paired with the receiver during an arsenal service life extension program rebuild. Bore is bright with strong rifling & the gun is equipped with a milled WRA trigger guard, a WRA trigger housing, the T105E1 adjustable rear sight assembly, a wide front sight base gas cylinder, & a radius cut Springfield Armory operating rod. Overall condition is very good with a mostly-matching dull phosphate across the metallic parts. The buttstock is in very good condition with the kind of dings, dents & scratches that one expects to see on a military surplus rifle. There is a faint National Defense acceptance cartouche on the left side above the trigger as well as non-serif P on the pistol grip. The front & rear handguards are matching in terms of color & condition. Comes with a USGI M1943sling.
