Winchester m1 carbine

Description:

Original vet bring back Winchester m1 carbine. Serial# 1223179. High wood stock and 2 rivet hand guard with deep cut sight groove. Stock marked W.R.A. over G.H.D. and hand guard marked W, no other markings. Early spring tube receiver with integral gas chambered barrel. Barrel marked W and WP only. Bore and rifling in very good condition. Front sight has no markings. Rear sight is milled adjustable. Arguable whether original but possibly left factory installed. Most likely a unit upgrade. Original early trigger group, all correctly marked, with fewer coiled hammer spring and dogleg hammer. Flat bolt with W mark on right lug face. Straight faced slide W marked. 1st style barrel band. Unmarked push button safety. Magazine marked BW. Until now, gun has been in the possession of vet and his family since his return in 49. This is truly a collector gun and should not be mistaken as an arsenal rebuild or other. Happy to answer any questions.
