Very hard to find normally...While we think Winchester 100's are among the best woods deer rifles with thir potent modern chambering (243, 284 and 308...the latter two good for game up to and including Elk and Moose) they are especailly nice in the not too often found  factory 19" Carbine confiuration. With an overall length of just 39" and handsome appearance, clip (box) mag allowing easy loading and unloading when in and out of camp or truck, in a package not much bigger than a little Ruger 44 mag carbine
This gun was made in 1967 and is a first yr production...(100 Carbines were made from 1967 to 1973) and all metal is in pretty much exceptional condtion for a gun nearly 60 yrs old and not far from new condition,  the handsome stock; while it has a number of small compression marks  is probably closer to 85 or a little under.
This is one of 2 almost identical of these hard to find and unique and collectable 284's we currently have. There are no cracks or scratches in the wood of consequence but a number of compression marks: if someone were to take the time many of these could be steamed out
